with so many features we have the ability to toggle through options as we work, one area that I have not seen this is in the detail template insert. I often build my detail and then pick a template and place it around what i drew then delete that one go back int the picker to pick a different template then find that it may work but it would really be better of it was two squares wide rather than one. is there a way to make a key board toggle that would change the template in the model space to see if it would fit and also to scroll through different configurations (two squads horizontal, four square vertical, etc) with just the press of a button rather than trial and error?

please say this already exists :D

Doesn't already exist, but is on our list to be implemented.
We will be adding support for keyboard commands W, A, S, D to cycle through the formats, and Q/E to change the scale.
It should get added around summer. In the meantime, you can Right Click to return to the template dialog box and choose a different option.
