I edited one of the valves callout to match our office standard and saved it as a block in the schedule-symbols.
Now when i go to the irrigation preferences i find this block and clickon it two times but not able to choose it..

what do i need to do to fix this?

Thanks

Nibal,

This appears to be due to how you have named the files.

Please note the default valve callout schedule block is located in Landfx/Blocks/Graphics/Irrigation/Schedule_Symbols, and is named LAFX-VALVECO_SS
Meanwhile the individual callouts are located in Landfx/Blocks/Graphics/Irrigation/Callouts, and named LAFX-VALVECO-Mxxx-L and LAFX-VALVECO-Mxxx-R.

As such, I would recommend you save your custom valve schedule block to the Schedule_Symbols folder as LAFX-VALVECOGHE_SS
And the individual callout blocks located in the Callouts folder should be named LAFX-VALVECOGHE-Mxxx-L and LAFX-VALVECOGHE-Mxxx-R.

Nibal,
Not only do you need to make sure the callout exists in the schedule symbols folder so you can see (and pick the customized callout), but you need to make sure a Left and a Right version callout of each valve size is saved in the callouts folder. The link below goes over each step required for your new callout to work.

Customizing Valve Callouts
Hi Jake,

I went throught the link and did the same steps for saving the block..
The left and the right version callout of the valve size is there in the callouts folder..

but still not able to choose the edit the schedule symbol of this valve callout in the irrigation preference.
I got an error message missing file..

Any other possible reason for this?

Thanks

Nibal,
Please use the Tech support ticket system to send us the Right and Left label callout files as well as the schedule callout file, and we can make sure you have set things up correctly. If things appear to function on our side, we may want to arrange a time where we can remote in and see what you might be doing.
Jake,
i just send 3 support tickets with the left and right valve callouts and the schedule file seperately as i couldnt send them all in one ticket..
Am mostly go for that am still missing something while saving the blocks as new ones..

Thanks

Jeremiah,
one more thing please..
while saving the blocks i removed the masks but when i placed the new valve callout as the mask is still there..
anu explanation to this?

Thanks
Nibal
Nibal,

There is nothing in Land F/X that would be able to add masks on the fly like that.
You can manually open the saved blocks to confirm that they saved correctly.
If the previous version is already defined in a drawing, you will need to delete and purge it out, or use the REDEFINEBLOCK command.
