Updated on: April 03, 2025
Quick video
Our Component Info tool for Rhino allows you to view and edit the data assigned to plants and other components you've placed from an existing Land F/X project that you've either:
- Created in Rhino, or
- Created in another platform and imported into Rhino
You'll need to open a new or existing Land F/X project before using this tool. You can create a new Land F/X project in Rhino, or open an existing project, using our Projects tool.
Viewing & Editing Plant Information
To access the data assigned to a plant in your design, open the Component Info tool:
Land-FX menu, Component Info option, or

The Land F/X Plant Info dialog box will open. You'll see the plant's taxonomical and common names, as well as the plant's symbol width in your design.
The Symbol thumbnail near the bottom of the dialog box displays the symbol you currently have set for the selected plant.
If the plant doesn't yet have a symbol assigned, the symbol preview will be blank.
Assigning a Symbol to a Plant
Click a plant's symbol thumbnail to open the Land F/X Select Component dialog box (pictured to the right).
Here, you can select a symbol family and symbol for the plant.

Viewing & Editing Site Amenity Information
To access the data assigned to a site amenity in your design, open the Component Info tool:
Land-FX menu, Component Info option, or

The Land F/X Site Amenity Info dialog box will open, allowing you to modify component descriptions and configure the selected model by changing textures, models, or other details.
