Placing Site Amenities: Planting F/X for SketchUp Plugin
The Place Site Amenity tool allows you to browse and specify site amenities offered by a number of manufacturers in our site amenities product library. You can use this tool to add specific products such as benches or bike racks to your project and place them in your SketchUp model.
You'll need to open a new or existing Land F/X project before using this tool. You can create a new project in SketchUp, or open as existing project, using the Projects Tool.
Placing Site Amenities Overview
To begin placing site amenities, open the Site Amenities Manager:

LandFX toolbar, Site Amenity Manager button

Land-FX menu, Site Amenity Manager option
The Site Amenities Manager will open.
If you haven’t done so already, add your desired site amenities to your Planting F/X project.
To begin placing a site amenity in your SketchUp model, you can either:
- Double-click the site amenity, or ...
- Single-click the site amenity to select it, then click the Place button

A preview of the site amenity's associated SketchUp component will appear at your cursor location.
Move your cursor to the desired location, then click once to begin placing an instance of the site amenity at that location.
The tool then enters rotation mode. As you move your cursor, the amenity will rotate about the specified location. Move your cursor until the site amenity is rotated to the desired orientation, then click once more to finish placing the site amenity.
If you instead want to place the site amenity at a different location, press the Escape key to reposition it.
Repeat as desired. Press the space bar to stop placing the site amenity.
