New Extend Vertex

Stretch a polyline at its start or end more easily than ever. Previously, you could not add a new vertex to the start of a polyline – only a new second vertex – which made it difficult to extend.
New Cut with Base Point (CUTBASE)

Grab an object to place in a new location while automatically removing the original from your drawing. It's like using COPYBASE to cut and paste but without the extra step of deleting.

While you’re using the Count Palette, you can also select a Work Area to limit the error checking to the Land F/X areas you’ve already drawn. Go even further and try the count palette selection tool!
Floating drawing windows improvement

The Command line now floats with your drawing window when anchored (instead of docked) – a further evolution of the ability to move a floating window to another monitor, added last year.

On the Start tab, hover on the New button to see which drawing template is set to launch. Memory of the last template used in the current session is built in, and you can use your QNEW option to apply that memory to future sessions.

Can I use F/X CAD without Land F/X?
No. F/X CAD requires a supported version of a Land F/X license – that is, Planting F/X, Design F/X, or Irrigation F/X.
Does F/X CAD include a Land F/X license?
No. F/X CAD is the base CAD platform that our Land F/X licenses add on top of. We are able to sell F/X CAD without a Land F/X license to our existing clients who already own their Land F/X license. F/X CAD will not work without a supported Land F/X license.
I have Civil 3D 2023. Can I install F/X CAD 2023?
No. If you already have AutoCAD 2023, or any vertical version (e.g., Civil 3D, Mechanical, etc.), you cannot install F/X CAD. You will need to follow our uninstallation steps to completely remove Civil 3D or any other version of AutoCAD 2023 before installing F/X CAD.
What is the activation process for F/X CAD 2023?
With F/X CAD 2023, you won’t have a Request Code or Activation Code. Instead, your purchase will generate a request to Autodesk for a unique Serial Number and Product Key. We will email your activation information to you as soon as we receive it from Autodesk. You can then activate F/X CAD 2023 immediately by entering these items into the activation screen. In the meantime, you can continue using F/X CAD in trial mode as long as you’re logged in to your free Autodesk account.
How long does it take to activate my license?
Autodesk’s policy is to provide us with your custom Serial Number and Product Key within 48 hours of your purchase. In most cases, you’ll receive these items within 24 hours. Once you’ve received your Serial Number and Product Key, you can activate F/X CAD immediately. Upon launching F/X CAD 2023 for the first time, you will have a 30-day trial period and can continue to operate the software in trial mode while logged in to your free Autodesk account until you are able to activate. Note that if you allow this trial period to expire without activating, you will not be able to use F/X CAD until you enter your Serial Number and Product Key.
On how many computers can I install?
One license of F/X CAD 2023 is only to be installed on one person's work computer and home computer or laptop, and only one of these installations may be used at a time by that person. When a purchase happens for F/X CAD 2023, whether it is an upgrade or first-time purchase, 1 license = 1 serial number = 2 installations (home or laptop) per user.
If I purchased multiple seats, can I use the same Serial Number and Product Key for all my computers?
If you have more than two computers, no. Each purchased license of F/X CAD will generate a different Serial Number and Product Key. You can use them on up to two computers.
Can I install on a home computer or laptop?
Yes.
Do I have to upgrade?
No, but we recommend it. A 1-year upgrade to the latest version will cost $500. If you skip versions, upgrades of 2 or more years will cost $775. We support the 5 most recent year versions of CAD.
Does the upgrade include renewal support for my Land F/X license?
No. The upgrade costs cover:
1. The latest CAD updates
2. Land F/X tech support on all F/X CAD issues (installation, activation, plotting, crashing, opening & saving files, customization)
3. Hot fixes & Object Enablers
Can I renew my Land F/X license without upgrading my F/X CAD?
Yes. However, when you skip versions of F/X CAD, you pay for the upgrades missed:

Can F/X CAD send or receive files, and work with AutoCAD and other CAD platforms?
Yes. F/X CAD will work with all CAD platforms. Your files will be compatible with AutoCAD and other versions, and vice versa.
Can F/X CAD import a PDF?
Yes, F/X CAD can import PDF documents.
Can I add/install third-party plugins to F/X CAD?
Unfortunately, as part of our contract with Autodesk, you cannot.
Can I use LISP routines?
No, we are not allowed to enable LISP routines on F/X CAD. The good news is that most LISP routines requested by our clients are already built into the Land F/X licenses. Email us at support@landfx.com if you are looking for specifc functionality, and we will help you out!
Can F/X CAD open my old drawings?
Yes. Autodesk is maintaining a full downward file compatibility. Even drawings from version 2000 will open.
Can I view proxy objects from Civil 3D?
Yes. F/X CAD can view proxy objects.
