Text and Leader Not Lining Up (Placing Inside UCS)

Issue

You've placed a leader with text in a drawing where you've created a User Coordinate System (UCS), and the text is not lining up properly with the leader, as in the example below. You are unable to select the text separately and move it to line up properly with the leader.

However, if you've placed text and leaders while in the World Coordinate System (WCS), they will line up correctly.

Cause

This issue is the result of a bug with the AutoCAD QLeader feature. With a rotated UCS, the text may not align with the arrow correctly.

Solution

To allow the text and leader to line up properly, you'll need to delete the problematic text and leader, and then place the text and leaders separately.

To place your leader and text using our tools:

1. Place a leader using one of the Leader tools from our F/X Site ribbon – but not one of the MText or Text Leader tools (see image to the right).

2. Use our Text tool to place text next to the leader.

3. Adjust the position of the text as necessary.
