Should I Upgrade to Windows 10?

You're wondering whether Land F/X or F/X CAD will work properly if you upgrade from Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 to Windows 10.

If you upgrade to a new version of Windows, such as Windows 10, you may receive an error message saying that you need to reactivate F/X CAD. If so, follow our instructions to license (activate) F/X CAD.

In short, yes you should upgrade to Windows 10!

We've been using Windows 10 in our office for several years, and we strongly prefer it over Windows 8 and 8.1. Microsoft hasn't supported Windows 7 since January 2020, and both 8 and 8.1 will be phased out in 2023.

Depending on your setup, you may – or may not – need to reinstall or reactivate your AutoCAD or F/X CAD license. But again, those issues are relatively minor and easy to resolve.
