You're wondering whether Land F/X or F/X CAD will work properly if you upgrade from Windows 7 or 8 to Windows 10.
If you upgrade to a new version of Windows, such as Windows 10, you may receive an error message saying that you need to reactivate F/X CAD. If so, follow our instructions to license (activate) F/X CAD.
In short, yes you should upgrade to Windows 10! (If you want to, that is.)
We have a couple of machines that have upgraded to Windows 10 here in the office and have been testing our Land F/X functions pretty thoroughly. We are currently working on one very minor issue that will be resolved by the end of the week, but everything else is functioning correctly. Here in our office we strongly prefer it over Windows 8.
We also have a good number of clients who have upgraded. The only potential issues we have discovered with these many system upgrades have to do with AutoCAD installations. Depending on your setup, you may – or may not – need to reinstall or reactivate your AutoCAD or F/X CAD license. But again, those issues are relatively minor and easy to resolve.
So go ahead and upgrade; you will probably enjoy the interface. And if you do experience any issues, please contact us. We have the solutions!
