Reactivation Required (Computers With Windows 10)

Issue

You received one of the following error messages on a computer that is running Windows 10: 

• License error. Your license is invalid.
• This product has not been properly activated on this system.

Cause

Windows 10 seems to have a bug that sometimes causes large updates to interfere with AutoCAD and F/X CAD licensing. In this case, users are sometimes required to reactivate.

Solution

Open F/X CAD or AutoCAD. If you see one of the messages listed above, you'll need to reactivate your CAD installation.

F/X CAD Users

If you have F/X CAD, follow our steps to activate your version of F/X CAD.

The first step of activating F/X CAD will generate a new Request Code for your F/X CAD license. Please resend your new Request Code to us as soon as possible so we can get your activation code from Autodesk.

AutoCAD Users

Follow the Autodesk steps to activate and register your AutoCAD installation.
