F/X CAD 2026 Does Not Open

Issue

You attempted to open F/X CAD 2026, and nothing happened. You double-clicked the shortcut to open F/X CAD 2026 and saw nothing – no splash screen, spinning circle, nor error message.

If you check the Windows Event Viewer, you'll see that startup is faulting on a MS C++ Redistributable DLL file.

Solution

1. Follow our steps to uninstall and reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Libraries.

Still unable to open F/X CAD 2026? Move on to the next step.

2. Follow our steps to open the Windows Command prompt as an administrator, then copy the following commands at the prompt, pressing Enter after entering each prompt:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

SFC /scannow

If the third command results in a message that corrupt files have been found and repaired, restart your computer, then try opening F/X CAD 2026 again. Make sure to restare your computer before attempting to open F/X CAD 2026.
