Cursor Pickbox Turns Into a Dotted Aperture When You Select Objects
Issue
Your cursor pickbox turns into a dotted aperture when you select an object in your drawing.

Cause
A setting in your AutoCAD Options is causing the pickbox to appear dotted.
Solution
1. Type OP in the Command line and press Enter to open the Options dialog box.

2. In the Options dialog box, go to the Drafting tab.
Uncheck the option to Display AutoSnap Aperture box.
Click OK to save the change.
The cursor pickbox should now have a solid appearance when objects are selected.
