Turn Off and Uninstall the Windows Updates

Issue
You need to turn off the Microsoft Windows updates and/or uninstall one or more particular updates.
Solution
Step 1: Open the Windows Update settings.
1A. Open the Windows Start menu.
Type Settings in the search box.
1B. Select Settings from the menu.

1C. Select the Windows Update tab from the left pane.
Step 2 (if necessary): Turn off Windows Updates.
To turn off the Windows Updates, select an option to pause the update. (Example: Pause the update for one week.)

Step 3: Uninstall Windows Updates.
3A. Still in the Settings dialog box under the Windows Update tab, scroll down to the Related Settings section and select the option to Uninstall updates.
3B. Select the entry for each update you need to uninstall, then click Uninstall next to that update.
