Custom Blocks Missing from Plan, Elevation, and/or Detail Blocks Folders

Issue

You have custom blocks within the Plan, Elevation, or Detail Graphics folder, and they're no longer showing up, either when browsing to place a generic block or as a part of a RefNote amenity you created, after our update on November 21, 2025 (Land F/X 22.06).

Cause

The new dialog boxes released in version 22.06 made it so all preview slides are SVG formatted (.svg format for LFX created blocks), and allows for previews of custom blocks to be PNG files instead of SLD files.

Solution

1. Run our BatchMan tool.

2. Click Add Folder or Add Folder + Subfolders. Browse to and select the folder(s) or subfolder(s) containing your custom blocks, then click OK to add each selected folder to BatchMan.

3. Click the Make Slide option.

 

After running BatchMan to make the slides, you should see your custom blocks reappear in the Plan, Elevation, and/or Detail Graphics folders.

Having issues at this point?

• You completed these steps and are still not seeing your custom blocks as preview thumbnails. Solution

 

• You can now see the previews of your custom blocks in the dialog box after running BatchMan, but they're hard to read or you don't like the way they look. Solution

Not seeing your custom blocks at this point?

If not, try deleting the folder LandFX\data\html\content_generic

Still not seeing your custom block folders or the preview thumbnails of your custom blocks?

If you still don't see your custom blocks after deleting the folder LandFX\data\html\content_generic, here's what to do:

1. Close CAD.

2. Navigate to the folder LandFX\data, and delete the HTML folder from that location.

3. Open the Command prompt by searching for CMD in the Windows Start menu and selecting the Command Prompt option.

4. Copy and paste the following command at the Command prompt:

RunDll32.exe InetCpl.cpl,ClearMyTracksByProcess 8

Then press Enter.

5. Restart CAD. Your custom blocks should now show up.
