Convert Shape Objects to Blocks

Issue

When cleaning a drawing, you noticed that shape objects don't explode and instead end up disappearing. You need a way to convert shape objects into blocks.

Solution

You can convert shape objects to blocks using the Shape to Block (SHP2BLK) command.

1. Type SHP2BLK in the Command line and press Enter.

2. Select the shape object you want to turn into a block. You only need to choose one – the tool will convert all instances.

3. Type the name you want to give the block. (It will have the name of the selected shape object by default.)

You should now be able to clean your drawing successfully.
