P-Hatch (PHATCH) Deletes Existing Hatch

Issue

When trying to use our PHATCH tool, you're noticing that the existing hatch deletes and you’re left with only a hatch where you attempted to place the brush.

Cause

This issue is occurring because your hatch boundary has an overlapping edge.

 

 

 

Solution

You can resolve this issue quickly by either:

• Re-drawing the hatch by tracing over the existing boundary and placing the hatch again, or
• Finding the overlapping edge and removing the extra vertices

A good way to identify the possible issue is to copy the hatch boundary polyline to the side, explode it, and start erasing segments. If a segment remains after erasing, or you see a tiny segment in a corner after erasing other segments, you've most likely found your problem area.
