Division or Subdivision Title Repeating in the Reference Notes Schedule

Issue

A section title, such as the division or subdivision title, is repeating in your Reference Notes (RefNotes) Schedule.

For example, in the image below, the section 5 MISC. repeats in the schedule.

Reference Notes Schedule with repeated section title

Cause

The repeating section title results from selecting the Symbol option rather than the Code option for a RefNote category when placing the RefNotes Schedule. Selecting Symbol in this way will alter the first column of the schedule to contain a symbol rather than a code. This in turn causes the system to reprint the section titles.

Solution

To prevent recurring section titles, select the Code option for your RefNotes when placing a RefNotes Schedule.
