Text Styles or Dimension Styles (DimStyles) Will Not Delete

Issue

You have Text Styles and Dimension Styles (DimStyles) in your drawing that won't delete, and you are unable to find them.

Cause

You may have DimStyles that are using the other Text Styles. Even if you son't have text in your drawing, you might have text defined in a DimStyle. As a result, you still won't be able to delete it.

Solution

1. Open the Dimension Style Manager:

2. Change the current DimStyle by either:

• Renaming the current DimStyle, or
• Bringing in another DimStyle

3. If a Text Style won't delete, scan your drawing and Layout sheets for text in that style, removing any instances. If possible, remove any Layout tabs that are expendable and that may have contined the Text Style.

4. Type PRG in the Command line and press Enter.

5. If the styles still aren't deleting, follow our steps to clean your drawing.
