Issue
You placed a dimension, and the number within that dimension turned into a slash, and the dimension exploded into separate lines.
The dimension number looked correct before you placed the dimension, but it exploded after you placed it.
This issue is drawing specific but may be occurring in some other drawings as well.
You may be experiencing this issue with:
- Our Site Dimension or Detail Dimension
- The AutoCAD Dimension tools
Cause/Solution
We've seen this issue occur when the AutoCAD system variable DIMASSOC is set to off.
Type DIMASSOC in the Command line and press Enter. When prompted to enter a value, type 1 and press Enter.
Your dimensions should now place properly.
