Land F/X Unable to Load Due to an AutoCAD Setting (Installing the F/X Workstation Component)

Issue

You saw the following error when opening CAD after installing the latest F/X Workstation component:

Land F/X unable to load due to an AutoCAD setting.

Please restart AutoCAD in order to load Land F/X.

Land F/X unable to load due to an AutoCAD setting message

Solution

In most cases, you can simply close CAD as instructed in the error message. When you reopen CAD, Land F/X should function correctly.

What if you keep seeing the error?

If the error keeps popping up every time you restart CAD, your startup environment or system variable manager may not be allowing Land F/X to run correctly. If so, you can try setting the LISPSYS system variable to 1.

To do so, type LISPSYS in the Command line and press Enter. When prompted to enter a value type 1 and press Enter again.

Still seeing the error at this point? If so, it's time to ask your IT administrator to diagnose and address the issue.
