Issue

While running the Land F/X Workstation installer (setup64), you saw a message similar to the following:

Error 1317. An error occurred while attempting to create the directory ... .

Cause

This error most likely occurred because you attempted to run the Workstation installer from a UNC path.

Solution

You can resolve this issue by running the installer from a mapped letter drive.

1. Cancel the Workstation installer by clicking Cancel within the error message, and then Cancel in the installer wizard.

2. If you haven't already done so, follow our steps to map a letter drive for your LandFX folder.

3. Copy the setup64 file to the LandFX folder in your mapped drive.

4. Run the Workstation installer from the LandFX folder on your mapped letter drive.

The installer should now be able to complete successfully without generating the error.
