Drip Zones Not Coloring Correctly

Issue

You're trying to colorize your drip zones, but they are not coloring correctly. You may be seeing:

  • Zones that are partially colorized or not colorized at all, or
  • A drip area that is completely colorized as a solid hatch

Cause

The boundary line(s) of your drip zone(s) may include incorrect and/or overlapping vertices.

Solution

Step 1: Check for and correct any improperly drawn drip area boundaries in your drawing.

Follow our steps to check for and correct improperly drawn drip area boundaries in your drawing.

Take care to size your lateral pipes each time you've corrected a drip area.

You may need to complete this step on two or more drip areas in your drawing. If you continue to have issues with colorizing drip zones, continue investigating your drawing in this way and making any necessary corrections, followed by sizing the laterals again, until the zones are coloring properly.

Still having the issue with colorizing your zones after correcting drip area boundaries throughout your drawing? If so, take note of which drip area boundaries may be causing the issue and move on to the next step.

Step 2 (if necessary): Redraw any incorrectly drawn drip area boundaries.

If you're unable to address the issue by correcting your existing drip area boundaries, you'll need to redraw any problematic drip area boundaries.

2A. Delete both the drip area hatch and boundary line.

2B. Draw a new boundary line.

Take care to avoid drawing a boundary line with overlapping or incorrect vertices by accidentally snapping to a previously drawn point or another object in your drawing.

2C. Place a new drip area with the new boundary line.

2D. Use our Verify Laterals tool on your irrigation plan, and correct any errors it detects.

2E. Re-colorize your zones.
