CAD is Crashing When I Try to Access a Manufacturer's Equipment

Issue

AutoCAD or F/X CAD is crashing when you try to access a manufacturer's equipment using Land F/X.

Cause

CAD crashing when you select equipment is usually the result of an Internet Explorer issue.

If the crash error message mentions something about mshtml.dll, the issue is the result of a recent Microsoft security update.

Solution

To address this issue, go to your Control Panel, select Programs and Features, and view Installed updates. There, locate KB2962872, and uninstall it.

You will then immediately need to go to your Windows update and unselect that same update from the list of Critical Updates so it doesn't install again.
