Issue

You tried to use one of our plant labeling tools – Group, Connecting Line, or Connecting Arc – on a Shrub Area or Groundcover, and the command ended without allowing you to place a label.

Cause

These three labeling tools require you to press the G key on your keyboard before selecting a planting area.

Solution

After selecting any of these labeling tools, be sure to press the G key before selecting the planting area. (You'll see this option in the Command line after selecting the tool.)

The Label Single Plant tool does not require you to press G before selecting a groundcover or Shrub Area.
