Import and Export Buttons Grayed Out in 3D Connection (Importing or Exporting Between CAD and Revit®, SketchUp, or Rhino

Issue

You're using our 3D Connection tool to send your plan from CAD to Revit®, SketchUp, or Rhino, and the Export and Import buttons are grayed out.

Cause

The 3D Connection tool requires you to be on Cloud Data so all project data can talk within each platform without causing data conflicts. CAD is the only platform that supports the Local Data option.

Solution

If you wish to continue using the Import and Export features of the 3D Connection tool within CAD, you will need to follow our steps to switch to Cloud Data.
