RECORDED WEBINAR: ADA after 30 Years
Previously recorded on April 29, 2022
Presented by Jeremiah Farmer

It's been 30 years since the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Join us for a recap of the goals and intentions behind ADA, plus a discussion of what the next 30 years might hold. POWER TIP: Detail Enlargements
Recommended by: Land F/X

When building details, you'll often find yourself needing to provide a close-up view of a detail component that shows a more intricate and detailed view of that component. One of the biggest challenges in creating these enlarged sections lies in maintaining the same dimensions between the main object in the detail and its close-up component. See how our Detail Enlargement tools make this process quick, foolproof, and downright fun.

NOTICE: Major Upgrades to the Irrigation Schedule
Major Upgrades to Irrigation Schedule
We've completely overhauled our Irrigation Schedule functionality for a significant improvement in the way you work with your schedules. In the Irrigation Schedule dialog box, the Drawing and Table options for placing your schedule are now consolidated into a single Table destination. This update provides several advantages, including easier editing, more consistent integration with other platforms, and cleaner code for even quicker development. You can still place a schedule that will plot without visible gridlines – previously the Drawing option – by selecting both Table and Gridlines non-plot. You'll see the lines in your drawing, but they'll appear in a non-plot color. We've also added the option to include the pressure rate for drip equipment, organized the column options to align better for easy selection, and moved the Drip and Equipment Quantity options into flyout menus for a cleaner interface.

In the schedule itself, we've centered the schedule symbols for a tighter column, enlarged the hatch swatches for drip and Schematic areas, improved the text formatting for controlling schedule width, added Xref support, and added a host of changes under the hood to facilitate faster performance and future improvements.

Your time might be your most valuable resource. We're here to help conserve it by providing technical support assistance as quickly as possible when you need us – but we need your help. If you're having an issue with Land F/X software, using the proper support channels will give you the best chance to receive a timely response from our team and get back to work. We'll go over your best options for reaching out that will put a prompt solution well within your reach the next time you need tech support.

RECORDED WEBINAR: Hardware Recommendations for 2021
Previously recorded on November 5, 2021
Presented by Mike Bennett

It’s yet another year of product launches and inventory shortages, but the work must go on. Keeping your CAD workstations and other office equipment up to date is essential to your office’s ability to stay productive and keep meeting deadlines. We understand that shopping for a new system is never easy, so we’re here to guide you through the process and show you some quick ways to narrow your search. We’ll also provide some valuable pointers on the other end of the spectrum: the hardware and software we don’t recommend diving into just yet. With our help, you can take the intimidation and guesswork out of your hardware upgrades.

POWER TIP: Land F/X Halloween Costume Contest
POWER TIP: Land F/X Halloween Costume Contest
WARNING: This Power Tip is for entertainment purposes only, and may very well be haunted. We held our annual Land F/X employee costume contest through the eerie magic of video conference this year, and we're excited to invite you into our spookily spectacular meta-netherverse. The stakes were high, and our team came through as always. Push "play" to be whisked away to a Zoom meeting of para-abnormal fun and put a scary (or silly) face to the voice of your favorite Land F/X technician. Remember: "It doesn’t matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning is winning." –Dominic Toretto

The AutoCAD Sheet Set Manager provides a fantastic method for coordinating large drawing packages with multiple DWG files. The Sheet Index, available within the Land F/X Project Manager, is another incredibly easy-to-use tool for organizing your drawing sheets. You may be familiar with these tools, but did you know they can work together to make your details easier to manage? We'll cover the specific roles played by the Sheet Set Manager and Sheet Index, then show you how to set them up for best use with your Land F/X projects.
