POWER TIP: The Planting F/X for Revit Plugin
Recommended by: Amanda Marin

Revit has become a common platform for landscape architects, but you've probably noticed how even the simplest planting plan requires a head-first dive into expert-level Revit workarounds. Our Planting F/X for Revit plugin simplifies the Revit planting plan workflow while introducing our familiar Plant Manager along with our plant placing, labeling, scheduling, and error-checking tools into the Revit workspace. Find out what's possible in the current Beta testing phase, currently open to those with active Planting F/X licenses. (And contact us if you'd like to join the Beta – currently not available for trial licenses.)

Expanded & Improved Spray Head Selection
Expanded & Improved Spray Head Selection
With a recent update, we’ve provided even more options for using spray heads in your irrigation designs. You can now add up to 9 models of both turf and shrub spray heads to each of your projects. We’ve also updated the F/X Irrigation ribbon not only to accommodate this expanded selection but to make it even easier to specify spray heads for your project. Just click the new Turf/Shrub button to select a spray model to place, or to jump directly to a display of available spray models you can add. It’s yet another way we’ve added flexibility and clarity to irrigation design. The improved spray symbol functionality is included in our standard update, but the ribbon change will require a separate installation of our latest F/X Workstation installer, linked below.

RECORDED WEBINAR: Design a Vertical Planter
RECORDED WEBINAR: Design A Vertical Planter
Previously recorded on April 30, 2021
Presented by Amanda Marin

Learn a new skill with a simple application that can be extrapolated to many other scenarios. We'll take a simple vertical planter, where the plant symbols and irrigation system would normally stack on top of each other in plan view and be illegible, and break these items out into a legible planting plan with connected irrigation that any contractor should be able to read, understand, and build exactly as intended. We'll use tools such as Detail Viewport and Work Areas to accomplish this goal.
