Guidelines for California's AB 1881

Presented by Land F/X Client, Dariush Bakhtar

This week's webinar will be presented by Dariush Bakhtar, a user of Land F/X for over 7 years. He has his PhD in Soil Science and recently did presentation of this topic at last year's annual ASLA conference.

Dariush will be doing a presentation on the new California Assembly Bill 1881 covering more water efficient landscape designs. He'll be discussing the Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance (MWELO) and the use and importance to a Soil Management Report.

AutoCAD 2014 Released

FX CAD 2014
Does it work with Land F/X?
Yes, but we have only been able to test Land F/X with it on the pre-released version. As always, we do recommend that you wait until the first service pack is released before updating to AutoCAD 2014.

Since F/X CAD is modified by us, it will take us a tad longer before we can release 2014 F/X CAD.

Get F/X CAD 2013 at $1745

We have a new PayPal option that allows you to set up a 6 month payment plan with no interest! Don't miss out! Once F/X CAD 2014 comes out, the price will go back to $1995.

Already Have your F/X CAD?

If you already have your copy of 2012 F/X CAD, you have 3 options.
     1. Upgrade to 2013 for only $250
     2. Skip the 2013 F/X CAD and jump from 2012 to 2014 for $750
     3. Keep on using 2012

Land F/X Student 3D Contest

Land F/X is proud to announce a student contest to design the perfect SketchUp 3D Tree. The winner will take home a 3D Printer!
We are after the veritable holy grail of 3D graphics -- we want a tree that looks realistic and natural, yet has a small file size and processing impact.  What this means, is we cannot render every pine needle, we must simplify its structure, in new and brilliant ways.  By utilizing transparent textures, repetitive branch and leaf components, and so on, a realistic looking tree can have a file size of under 200kb, and be comprised of fewer than 2,000 total edges.
It is the quintessential combination of art and science, part graphics, part mathematics, some artistry, some engineering.

Please click here for the rules and to see examples of the trees we are looking for.

Land F/X will be going to ASIC April 20-22nd. Jeremiah will be there with a table, so if you are attending make sure to stop by!
