Webinar Friday: Trends in Spray Technology - Challenges & Solutions

Presented by: Randy Montgomery, Product Manager with Rain Bird

Alternative water sources and emission device efficiency have been a focal point for legislative and regulatory actions to drive water conserving irrigation practices.  From California’s Model Efficient Landscape Ordinance to even newer Green Codes, empirical evidence suggests that these standards have led to more efficient manufacturer solutions and, when used in conjunction with an integrated irrigation management approach, lead to reductions in water consumption.

The challenge for Landscape Architects and Irrigation Designers is that they need solutions to these legislative concerns.  Even further, they need to know a system that they design today will still meet regulations for some time.

This webinar will introduce Rain Bird technology that meets current tough regulations and ensures the system will last.  A system designed well today, that meets regulations, should last a long time, and only by selecting the right technology can you provide ease of mind with your customers.  The products being highlighted will include the RD 1800 (including SAM, PRS, and Flow Shield features), as well as the High Efficiency Nozzles such as the HE-VANs and Rotary Nozzles, (including the new R-Van).

The Webinar will begin Friday at 10am PST, 1pm EST.

Dubai Onsite Presentations

Jeremiah just returned from a week-long trip to Dubai and Abu Dhabi.  He was able to present Land F/X to the Dubai Municipality office, and several other firms in the area such as Parsons, AECOM, and Stantec.  The presentations were understandably very well-received, as the number and size of active projects has firms very interested in working faster and more efficiently.  It is a very invigorating compliment, that a software package invented by a father and son team working from a converted garage nearly twenty years ago, is now being used by the largest and most prestigious design firms around the world.

New Hunter products are now available in the Land F/X database!

The Roam XL, is a long distance remote designed to let professionals communicate with multiple controllers from up to two miles away. It is recommended for use on large-scale sites such as shopping centers, industrial complexes, college campuses, and multi-unit housing complexes.
The newest addition to the MP Rotator family, the MP3500 is now available in the Land F/X database, complete with new symbols.  The MP3500 provides coverage from 31-35 feet, which allows for specification in mid-range applications. While this is the longest MP Rotator to date, it still maintains the efficiency-focused features of the MP Rotator line, such as matched precipitation, wind resistant streams, robust design, and the highest level of uniformity on the market.
Also available is Hunter’s new water run time calculator, and their full online product catalog.
In the lighting database is FX Luminaire’s award winning Luxor ZD, a new landscape lighting controller that offers both zoning and dimming capabilities.  It was the winner of the 2012 Irrigation Show’s People’s Choice and Best New Product awards, and is featured in the Land F/X database for you to specify.

Colorization Rendering Available in 9.26 Update

You will need AutoCAD 2011-2013, or F/X CAD.
