SketchUp & ShaderLight Client Webinar

Presented by Nicole Kite, Kluber & Associates

This webinar will demonstrate how to create and render a 3D model using primarily SketchUp and ShaderLight, with a little bit of help on either end of the process from AutoCAD and Photoshop. As our example, we will create a model that illustrates a simple rainwater harvest/catchment system. We will take an AutoCAD drawing of a rain tank and show how SketchUp and ShaderLight can transform that AutoCAD drawing into a fully rendered and illustrative graphic that could be used in many ways.

This webinar will begin Friday at 10am PST, 1pm EST.
If you can't make it, we will be recording the webinar and posting it on our Video Page next week.

I Can't Miss This!

Colorization Update Available!

The long awaited colorization is now starting to become active.  We will be developing the documentation and usage directions this week and next, but the button is now active.
After you have placed plants into a project with our traditional methods, you would colorize by either expanding and letting flyout the last button in the main Planting toolbar menu, or go to the F/X Planting pull-down menu, and click on the “Color Render” button.  All of the plants in your drawing will be displayed, and you would click on the box for each plant to select a colorized symbol.  Select the form you are looking for, then select the color option for that form.
When you click OK the plants you selected will be swapped out with the symbol and color you are intending.  When you plot your plotter will need to be set to “Lines Overwrite” and “Transparency” will need to be on.  Transparency is only allowed in AutoCAD versions 11 or greater.  All of this will be explained more fully in the documentation.
This is only the first step.  We have over 8,000 symbols now, but are awaiting several hundred more within the next day or two.  Also, ground site and ground cover colorization has not been added yet, and will take a couple of weeks more to finish up.  When all is finished we will do a webinar on this important topic.
