SketchUp Webinar

SketchUp Webinar This Friday

Presented by Gary Buczkowski

This Webinar will be presented by Gary Buczkowski, Director of Planning & Development for the Hoffman Estates Park District, a taxing government agency which serves a community of 50,000 residents located northwest of Chicago.  Its nationally recognized parks and facilities helped it win the coveted National Gold Medal Award for Excellence  from the National Parks and Recreation Association in 2009 (Class III).
Of interest to those who attend this webinar, is how the agency utilizes SketchUp Modeling to communicate in-house developed design concepts and / or projects to elected officials for their approval and to the community it serves.
Mr. Buczkowski presentation will emphasize the importance and need to “wow” the targeted audience with this cutting edge medium all within the context of simple, quick and inexpensive presentations.  Specific examples will be presented on how this modeling technology is used by the agency to test various aspects of the design to ensure state of the art results.
This program will focus on conceptual use of the software and not dwell on the specifics of drawing or modeling with the SketchUp tool and is geared to those firms or individuals who have not taken advantage of the what SketchUp has to offer  as visual communicative tool.

This webinar will begin at 10am PST, 1pm EST.
Please be sure to sign up before Friday morning.

I would like to attend!

New Details Added

New to the Land F/X Detail Library are easy to use, instantly downloadable, Blu-Lock details.  We have twelve in all, each with a different assembly configuration.  Shown is a pdf of the Blu-Lock ¾” swing joint with a Schedule 40 PVC Tee.
To access the details that have been added to the Land F/X database, go to the Detail Explorer (either the first flyout button after the Detail Manager, or in Preferences/Details) and navigate to “F/X Detail Library”.  From there, go to “Irrigation” and then “Hydro Rain.”
The notable feature of 9.16, is support for Lineweights within the Preferences screen.
