It’s the start of a new academic year for most of our academic license users, and that also means everything is starting fresh on our end. All old Support IDs have been wiped and replaced with a brand new Support ID.
If you open Land F/X and get a message that your license is expired, go ahead and fill out our Land F/X Academic License form again, using your official academic email.
You can also use this form if you’re trying to use Land F/X for the first time.
After filling out the form correctly, you’ll receive an email from us with instructions on how to reset your Support ID and how to install Land F/X. This email will also include a few links to get you started with our vast library of resources. Binge watch a few videos to start drafting your projects faster using Land F/X tools, and spend your time refining your design and ideas – not manually labeling and counting plants.
If you’re new to Land F/X, don’t forget that you need AutoCAD installed on your computer first, and it can’t be an LT version. Students can look into the student version of AutoCAD on Autodesk’s website.
This month’s must-watch videos are: The Sheet Setup Webinars!
Watch both videos, regardless of which units you normally draft in. The CAD technique most students and professionals struggle with is setting up their drawing properly for the correct scale on a layout page. Follow these webinars to learn a professional and quick method to set up your AutoCAD templates. Each webinar follows a slightly different workflow, giving you many different tools to make it infinitely easier to print your project to scale.
