A real time saver:
Yesterday I assigned the details to 30 shrubs. Do you know how long that took me? Too long. Was it monotonous? Duh. Mind numbing.
Imagine linking all of your shrubs to a single detail that addresses shrub installation in just a few clicks. Or how about all of your pop-up heads to a single detail that addresses pop-up installation with just a few clicks?
Here's how it works with the heads:
From the "Irrigation Equipment" dialog box click the first one that you want to link.
Then press shift (or Ctrl as appropriate) and select the other elements that you would like to share the same detail (they're highlighted now).
Select the new "Set Detail" button and the "Add Details to Project" dialog box opens (bypassing the Equipment Info" dialog box).
From the "Add Details to Project" select the detail that you want linked to the equipment. You will be able to select the correct one since the "Description/Notes" added when creating the detail will show up here too.
Just imagine. I'm not a LandFX Wizard, but I am a dreamer.

In the Plant Manager, this capability already exists to some degree.
Currently, when you assign a detail from the button in the Plant Manager, it will assign to all of the plants int the current view. This allows you to quite easily assign a different detail to all the ones in a "Palm Trees" group, etc.
But what is needed further, is the ability to Ctrl+click a selection, and have the Detail assignment respect that (the same that the Delete button does).
As for irrigation equipment, there too I think just a Ctrl+click support to set the same detail for multiple items would be a great time-saver.

Ahh. Spoken like a dreamer with the Yodi influence of a LandFX Wizard.
Thanks so much for showing me how easy I can associate details to a large number of plants. I don't have to imagine that anymore!
