I think it would be a great idea to have project information more visible. When switching between projects that have the same reference notes (think phases, or sub-associations) it would be good to be able to see what LandFX project a dwg is attached to. I'm thinking maybe in the Refnote manager and Plant manager.

It could say REFNOTE MANAGER - (PROJECT INFO) or just listed at the top above the radial buttons.

Clay,

What we've wanted ever since 2006 is an ability to add a custom element to the Ribbon, to identify the Project, and even the Scale. It's something the pulldown menus have had all along, and has been missed.

The title bar of the palette is a novel idea. One issue I have, is that any title is automatically displayed in upper case, which I feel makes it look very busy, and makes the project name extremely wide.

We fairy recently added the floating Detail Info display that automatically applies when editing a detail. We were thinking that if the response to this was positive, we could add a similar such one that displays the project and drawing scale. Yet so far, the response has been slightly less than positive, which I imagine is mostly due to it being a floating dialog somewhat in your way. Again, I would give up my toenail clippings for an ability to make a custom Ribbon panel.

But interested to hear from others on this. It's something that we've mostly dropped, due to the file/path in the title bar and the file tab. But your use case is spot on, trying to break a project into phases or milestones, it can be challenging to be sure each has the right project assigned. One workaround is to turn the pulldown menus on (MENUBAR = 1), to benefit from seeing the project name in the F/X Admin menu. I've also attached an image showing what it might look like in the title bar of the palette, to see if you or others agree with me that it feels too busy, or if it feels a long overdue improvement.

Thanks for the response. Glad to know project info visibility has been thought about. I do have menubar set to 1, but rarely use those drop downs, except for running the schedule command. I now see the project info in the admin menu; I'll have to remember to check there.

Personally, I don't mind your example image. I don't need to see the full name all the time. I can always stretch the window out if I want to check it, then shrink it once confirmed.
