For some reason we cant bring in new details into our project without creating a project detail folder. When trying to bring in a NEW detail into a project we are prompted with the following "This project does not have a detail folder assigned. Would you like to do that now? If we click the "No" button we are kicked out of the process. So we can't bring any NEW details into the project. We didn't used to have to add a Project Folder. Especially if we want to point to standard details so that if the master is changed, it will automatically be "Updated" if we chose to do so.
So we're stuck right now without being able to add details to our existing project. Will someone help?
UPDATE: It will allow adding the details by assigning the detail to the actual elements that are used in the plans.
Still interested in a solution that will allow for adding the details to the detail manager without adding a project detail folder.
This will happen if in your Detail Preferences, "Copy Details to project folder" is checked. It will force a project folder because it needs to know where to copy the detail to.

Was this just a cynical way to get your attention? It's always so good to hear from you. I searched all over the website for the simple answer that you provided. Maybe this could be listed under the Project Detail Section in the documentation. Or in the troubleshooting section under it. Now... What's my next reason going to be to get your attention?
