Hi All,

I notice that the master valve symbol doesn't snap to the main line like the other symbols do. Is there a reason for this, or can it be fixed?

In a similar vein (as I mentioned before), why not have all the symbols rotate before the final snap, like shut-off valves do? My main lines are rarely at a perfect 180 deg, and I like my symbols aligned with the angle of the main line.

Thanks!

Tom,

If you are referring to the Master Valve auto-connecting to the mainline, it definitely does just that. Please send in the drawing (and project data files) that this is not working for and we can take a look at what might be happening.

Regarding the symbol rotation, we still have it noted and on the wishlist to implement in the future.
Jake still having this non-snapping MV thing, too. I just sent the drawing in question in regarding another issue.

Tom,

Unfortunately I am unable to replicate this issue in the drawings you sent. The only time that I could replicate is when I tried placing just the edge of the symbol onto the pipe, otherwise it would connect into the mainline every time. If you need to, send in a file that is dedicated to this issue so I can test again. In addition to the file, please explain your exact steps taken to cause your results. Thank you.

Well, the only other things I would check for then would be to make sure it is indeed a mainline you are trying to hook to, make sure there are no z elevations or funky dview twists, and make sure the file isn't corrupted. Maybe even try Nuking the file and see if that helps. Otherwise, it sounds like you are good to go in other drawings!
