My new installation doesn't appear to have included symbols, hatches, blocks etc... clearly I missed checking a box or something. Where do I go to get these now?

These items are actually downloaded from Landfx.com as you place them in your projects, once they've been placed you'll be able to find them in those directories. So with a fresh install those directories should be fairly empty.
