Issue

You saw the following error message when attempting to install F/X CAD:

Functionality locked

Please validate your Internet connection.

Cause

This error message can result from any of the following issues:

• A bad Internet connection
• One or more of the following items preventing Land F/X from communicating with our servers:
• A firewall
• Antivirus software
• Strict folder permissions
• The F/X CAD executable (acad.exe) possibly being blocked

Solution

1. Verify that your computer is connected to the Internet.

2. Verify your firewall and security settings, ensuring that a firewall, antivirus program, or strict folder permissions are not blocking Land F/X from communicating with our servers.

3. Verify that the F/X CAD executable (acad.exe) is also not being blocked. You may need to create an exception for the entire install dir for F/X CAD.
