Layers, Lines, or Blocks Mistakenly Plotting in Green or Red, or Opposite Spectrum Color

Issue

One or more of your layers, some of your linework, or parts of your blocks are plotting in either green or red, and you don't want them to.

For example, your Plant Shadows may be plotting in green.

Cause

This issue is caused by a known bug with how CAD treats layers within blocks and that are turned off. They won't be visible in your drawing, but they'll show as the opposite color in the spectrum when plotted. Therefore, layers meant to be green that are turned off may plot in red instead.

Solution

Locate any layers that are plotting in the incorrect color, and turn them on.

If you want the layers to plot (but not in green or red), you can now plot and they should show up in their intended colors.

If you don't want the layers to plot at all, follow our steps to freeze the layers. They will not plot.

For this reason, among others, we typically recommend freezing layers rather than turning them off.
