Concept Design Group is Missing from the Concept Plant Manager

Title: Your Concept Design Group is missing from the Concept Plant Manager

Issue

Your Concept Design Group is missing from the Concept Plant Manager. It may still be placed in the drawing and/or visible in a past schedule, but you don't see it in the Concept Plant Manager dialog box.

Cause

This issue can occur because:

  • Your drawing is currently assigned to the wrong project, or
  • The plant groups making up the Concept Group have been deleted

Solution

Step 1: Check whether the drawing is assigned to the wrong project.

Open the Project List and verify that you have the correct project open. Somebody in your office may have accidentally switched the projects.

If so, open the correct project. Then open the Concept Plant Manager.

Are your Concept Plant Groups still missing? If so, move on to the next step.

Step 2 (if necessary): Re-create your Concept Design Group(s)

If the project is correct, somebody in your office likely incorrectly assigned this same project to a different design and then deleted the Concept Groups from the project to fit that other design – definitely not the correct way to go about assigning a project to a drawing.

If this is the case, you'll unfortunately need to either:

  • Import your Concept Design Group from another project, or
  • Re-create the Concept Design Group and place it again in this project to get the Concept Mix back. If possible, you can re-create it from a past schedule.

Concept Plants can contain large amounts of data, since they can hold many plants in the design palette. This is too much information for us to embed in the block or hatch as we can for regular design plants. Consequently, you won't be able to use our Edit Plant tool on a Concept Plant to pull its data back into the Concept Plant Manager, as you ould with design plants. Importing or re-creating the mix manually is the only way to rebuild that data if it's deleted.
