Does the capability to add to the railing symbol library exist? We have a project that includes several different heights of chain link fence. We currently use different custom and default AutoCAD linetypes to represent each fence variation, but would like to take advantage of the capabilities of LandFX's railing tools for these situations. Unfortunately, while some of the graphic representation of the AutoCAD linetypes is replicated in landFX railing symbols, others are missing (open square posts and open circle posts without dashed lines between posts). Is there a method to create custom railing symbols or are there plans to expand LandFX's default library?

Thank you,
Daniel,
No, there currently isn't a way to add custom railings to that dialog. You could edit the created post blocks in the drawing, but it sounds like you need more types than are in there.

Do you have a screenshot or drawing example of all the different linetype variations that you're currently using?

Would love to see more options for line types in the walls and railings...
Bob,
Do you have a screenshot of style examples you'd like to see in there? We have ideas but it's good to see exactly what you're wanting to use.

I would love a way to show a guardrail over retaining, two or three retaining wall symbols (hatched or cross hatched, varied stripes), existing walls on a grayscale, letters are available "G" for gas, "W" for water, "SS" for storm sewer, "E' for electrical etc, these could be placed here since it is lines and linework, select the line and then type your letter and description. a line with small "X" for fencing, other small symbols, triangles, etc. The LandFX community will find ways to use the symbols and linework, maybe it needs separate sections for Utilities and Wall and Fence,

Wall Steps would be helpful as well maybe linked with the grading tool to show elevations and step locations.
Just Thoughts
Bob
I could definitely use a rail over wall options.
Clay,

These are nice styles. We have a long-delayed project to freshen the Railing tool, but it is currently on the calendar for next year. I'll add these to the list.
