Does anyone know the command where I can pull up a list of blocks in the project that is open, and a block location will highlight in the drawing when I click on the block name in the list. It seems that I remember seeing this awhile back, but can't remember how to get this to come up.

Pat,
Are you using blocks within the RefNote Manager, Plant Manager, or Irrigation Manager? If so, you should be able to select the given item from the Manager and click the Highlight button to find where all are located in the plan.

If you are just trying to find given generic blocks through the plan, and you know the block name, you could probably find their locations with the QSELECT command, or the "Find non purgeable items" within the PURGE command.

Either way, if you could expand on what your are after we might be able to point you in a better direction.

Cheers,

Jake, thank you for the info...The generic blocks is the ones I was asking about...When I get a base file from a client, I will sometimes copy and paste into my template instead of using XREF, but I will sometimes get an error saying, "Copy to clipboard failed". I have noticed that it is a block or blocks in the drawing that is creating this problem. When I find the blocks and explode it, the problem is fixed. This usually takes a while, but there might be a better way… I thought there was a block list to where when you click on the block then that block will highlight in the drawing. The QSELECT & PURGE for the “find the non-purgeable items” commands should help a lot.
Thanks

Pat,
If you are getting that message when copying, then it sounds like this link should help you out:

Copy to Clipboard (COPYCLIP) Failed, or Command Not Working (Attempting to Copy and Paste Objects)

And yes, I think the PURGE command to find things will be best. But also, sounds like a good cleaning of the file is in order! (Nuke)

Let us know how else we can help and we will be happy to do so. Have a great day!
