I've changed the number attributes for some placed details since I had to rearrange them on a sheet. I saved the drawing and went to my plan and updated the schedule, but it didn't recognize the changed location of the details. Didn't it used to be able to track the detail by the attribute and reflect the new location in the schedule? Or do I have to delete and reinsert all of the details giving them new attribute number data?

It will track the changes. You'll just need to open or refresh the detail manager for that project while on the page where you made the changes for it to register those changes.
