Landscape Designer Position with Interdisciplinary Firm

We are looking for an additional team member to work in a collaborative atmosphere shared by drafters, engineers, surveyors, landscape architects and planners. The firm’s primary objective is to utilize knowledge, creativity, vision and sustainability as tools to produce superior and innovative design that satisfies client’s needs and improves their communities. Team members interact with other team members, clients, contractors, and government agencies. Concise and clear communication skills are key fundamentals for providing clients with reliable, insightful and attentive service. Current design projects include design and development of parks, playgrounds, recreational spaces, commercial campuses, healthcare facilities, public right of way landscapes and more. Most projects are located within northern California. Our new team member will assist project managers with developing site designs, project plans and specifications, horizontal control plans, furnishings and finishes plans, grading and erosion control plans, irrigation plans and planting plans. Communication between clients, sub-consultants, contractors, local municipalities and state regulatory agencies is also expected both written and orally.
Qualified candidates should be proficient with AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Sketchup. Experience with Land F/X is preferred. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited landscape architecture program is preferred. Salary for the position is based on education, knowledge, skills, attitude and experience.
