After the Nov 21 2025 update (Update 22.06) we accessed plant elevation blocks via F/X Sie > Blocks > Elevation Graphics. Now our Land F/X plant blocks appear as custom blocks - the plants category is capitalized - and all of the block slides are broken. I tried deleting the folder \Blocks\Elevation_Graphics\20-plants thinking that Land F/X would simply download new blocks. It did not. I then realized that the Plant Elevation Blocks functionality has changed and that plant blocks are now accessed from F/X Planting > Generic Plants > Plant Elevation Blocks. Now when I try to access the blocks via F/X Planting > Generic Plants > Plant Elevation Blocks I get an Open DCL error and an ADS request error. Once the Planting dialog box opens all items are blank and clicking on anything gives me an OpenDCL error. What should I do to get Plant Elevation Graphics working as intended. I can submit a support ticket if needed.
Thanks,
-f

Hi Franco!
Yes, plant elevation blocks can now be accessed from the Planting F/X ribbon > Plant Elevation Blocks.
Those errors shouldn't be happening for you when accessing that dialog. Please run a new copy of the workstation installer:
https://www.landfx.com/kb/installation-help/plugins/1977-new-workstation-setup.html
That should update everything on your machine and keep those errors from happening.

Note that during this transitional time, you will still see the PLANTS folder in the generic blocks dialog for a bit. We will be updating that soon.
But you would still use the other plant elevation dialog to access them.
Thank you

Forrestt,
My IT Dept installed the latest workstation installer as you mentioned, and it works one time. I'll place a generic plant elevation block (F/X Planting > Generic Plants > Plant Elevation Blocks) and everything works fine. Then I'll place a site elevation block (F/X Site > Blocks > Elevation Graphics). When I go back to place a generic plant elevation block again, I get OpenDCL and ADS request errors again. I have to restart CAD in order to get the plant elevation blocks to work.
I’m sorry to hear that. This must be a different issue with your setup as these symptoms aren’t happening for us or other clients.
We’re going to reach out to you today to figure out what’s going on.
Thanks!
