Dear land F/X team,

in our office we usually use metric units .
I got a request from one of our clients to provide the sizes in inches for a specific project.

How can i do this in the way that I be sure that I won't disrupt the other related calcs like flow rate.

Can you guide me please?

Best Regards

Hi Nibal,

Thanks for reaching out about this. We have some features in place to help you accomplish this. To do this, I suggest following the steps I have laid out below:

1) In your Irrigation Preferences, you will need to set the Pipe Classes section to an Imperial setting. Instead of making this change to your standard preference set, we recommend creating a new preference set with this setting so you can swap to it when needed without affecting your other projects. You will also want to keep your pressure/flow unit settings as your preferred metric settings. Once this is complete, make sure to set your project to this new preference set.

2) To update your existing project to the imperial pipe sizes, you will need to open your Pipe Data settings within the Irrigation Manager and cycle through the Lateral, Mainline, and Pipe Sleeve tabs and select OK.

3) Then, type the command USERI1 and set its value to 25400. This will set your valve sizes to Imperial sizes.
Here's an article with more details on this process: Using Imperial Valve Sizes in a Metric Drawing

4) Finally, you will need to resize the pipe in your drawing.

If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.
