Is there a way to turn the default detail callout into an MLeader, rather than text + separate leader? There is lots of info on changing the plant callouts to Mleaders, but nothing for detail callouts. Driving me crazy that I have to suffer disconnected text and leaders in order to have linked detail titles.
Am willing to do whatever it takes, anyone have any answers?

We would very much like to make the detail callouts into MLeaders. This is currently scheduled for next year, although there will be multiple catches.
First, MLeaders cannot have different, symmetrical Left and Right appearances. So the title would have to be consistently to the right of the bubble, regardless of which side the leader is attached.
Second, not all of the detail callout styles can be MLeaders, namely the Section Flag, Section Double, as well as Area and Circle style. So we need to decide what to do with those.
But, that all being said, we still want to convert what we can to MLeaders. If you have an example MLeader you’re after, you are always welcome to send that to us.

Ah, okay. Thanks for your quick reply! I am at least heartened that I wasn't overlooking some easy setting. Glad you smart folks are already working on this.
Generally, so long as it has the same functionality of an Mleader, but with the added benefit of callout graphic + linked title, I know I'd be happy. Though it would also be great if the title were simply a field within the Mleader text, so you could add more text before/after. Like your naked callouts do.
