Privacy Policy for Land F/X Passport
This Privacy Policy describes how Land F/X ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Land F/X Passport mobile application (the "App"), available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
When you use the App to scan a tradeshow badge, we collect the following information contained on or associated with that badge:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Job title
- Company information (e.g., company name and related business details)
We collect this information only when you actively use the App's badge-scanning feature.
2. How We Use Your Information
The information collected through the App is used solely for our internal business purposes, including:
- Managing and organizing tradeshow and event leads
- Following up with contacts after events
- Maintaining internal customer relationship management (CRM) records
- Improving our products, services, and customer outreach
We do NOT use this information for any purpose beyond our internal business needs.
3. No Sale or Sharing of Personal Information
WE DO NOT SELL, rent, or trade personal information collected through the App to third parties, and we never have.
We do not share the personal information collected via badge scans with third-party advertisers, data brokers, or other outside organizations for their independent use.
We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: With trusted vendors who perform services on our behalf (e.g., cloud hosting, data storage), and only to the extent necessary for them to perform those services. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and are prohibited from using it for any other purpose.
- Legal Requirements: If required to do so by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Land F/X, our users, or others.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of company assets, in which case personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
4. Data Storage and Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain the personal information collected through the App for as long as necessary to fulfill the internal business purposes described in this Policy, or as required by applicable law. You may request deletion of your information at any time (see Section 7).
6. Camera and Device Permissions
The App may request access to your device's camera to enable badge scanning. This permission is used solely for the purpose of capturing and processing badge information as described above. We do not access your camera for any other purpose.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your information

8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised policy with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
