Annotative Hatches Visible in Model Space but Not Paper Space

    Updated on: May 25, 2022

    Issue

Your annotative hatches are visible in Model Space, but are not visible in a layout’s Paper Space through a viewport.

You may be experiencing this issue with annotative hatches in your drawing or in an Xref.

    Cause

    This issue can pccur because:

    • The layers in the viewport are frozen and/or
    • The ANNOALLVISIBLE system variable is set to something other than 1

    Solution

    1. Double-click inside the viewport to activate it.

    2. Ensure that all layers in the viewport are thawed, or unfrozen.

Are your annotative hatches still invisible within the viewport? Move on to the next step.

    3. Type ANNOALLVISIBLE in the Command line, and press Enter.

When prompted to enter a value, type 1 and press Enteragain. Your annotative hatches, and any other annotative objects, will show up within the viewport.
