I noticed someone else posted an issue with 2022 and mtext and leaders, which we also had issues with. That issue seems to be fixed with the suggested download (thanks.) However we also continue to have frequent freeze/crashes while using the trim tool. The issue seems consistent across all devices.
This is actually the first I've seen a report of this particular issue. Can you describe the exact order of steps used to reproduce the issue? Are you able to replicate it in a new blank DWG or does it require a particular DWG set?
Hi Bennett. The steps creating the issue are kind of random to me. I will be using the trim tool on say a half a dozen lines and then all of a sudden the drawing freezes. When trying to save/close, I receive an ACAD message noting the drawing should be recovered. When I have recovered the drawing after this event, it shows anywhere from 0 errors to 177 errors. This issue was happening at the same time I was having MText crashes which have been fixed, but alas this issue still prevails! I was unable to reproduce the issue on a blank drawing. Could it have something to do with the MText issue I was having on this drawing and not the blank drawing?

If we're not able to reproduce the issue in a blank DWG and it's fairly inconsistent that could indicate an issue with the DWG set in question and we'll likely need a copy of the files to look into it on our side. The same thing is happening to me with CAD 2022. It seems the trim command is searching the entire drawing for something near where I am trying to trim. I can leave my drawing for up to 15 minutes while in the command and then it is ready to trim. Very frustrating. CAD 2022 is wasting my time with this and other issues.
Katy, as mentioned in the previous reply, we're going to need to see an example drawing where trim is misbehaving in order to track down the issue, since it doesn't appear to be happening in all drawings. Can you send that into a ticket?
