Error 404: Missing Remote File, Missing SLD Files (Accessing the Land F/X Hatch Library)

Issue:

When attempting to access the Land F/X hatch library, you may be seeing the following error messages:

• Error 404: Missing remote file, and
• Error 404: Missing remote file About to download new file: HATCHNAME.sld (in the Command line, where HATCHNAME is the name of the hatch pattern you're trying to access)

Cause

This issue may be occurring because:

• You had saved or edited hatches in the Land F/X system prior to our June 2023 hatch update, but the location of the hatch patterns or the slide files may have been moved or deleted, or
• The hatching prior to the update could have taken place on an installation or computer with a different hatch library.

Solution

First, verify the following with your User hatches:

• They are unique and not anything available in the Land F/X hatch system already, and
• You can still find and place them using the AutoCAD Hatch command

If your User hatches are unique and you want to retain them, first create a backup of all the XML files found in the LandFX\Hatch folder.

 

Then rename the user - XML files to whatever you want, such as old user - site.

Finally, use our Hatch tool to open the Land F/X Hatch dialog box (pictured above) to see whether the Missing Remote File error continues.

If you no longer see an error message, that issue has been resolved. To get your hatches correctly into the system, follow our Save Hatch & PRINTHATCHES documentation to save these hatches into our system correctly.
