Slope Callouts or Spot Elevations Oriented Incorrectly (Pointing in the Wrong Direction)

    Updated on: May 20, 2022

    Issue

When using our Slope Callout and/or Spot Elevation tools, you're noticing that one or both of these types of callouts are orienting incorrectly and unpredictably.

For example, a Slope Callout may be calculating the slope correctly but pointing in the wrong direction, as pictured to the right.

Or some of your Spot Elevations may be coming in incorrectly, pointing in the wrong direction or even consisting of two lines at an angle from each other, as pictured to the left.

    Cause

This issue occurred as the result of an AutoCAD bug, and we've since corrected it with a software update. You are most likely running an out-of-date version of our software and need to run an update.

    Solution

Follow our instructions to update your installation of Land F/X.

You may need to delete all problematic Spot Elevations and Slope Callouts from your drawing, purge them out by typing PRG in the Command line, and place them again.

    Callouts appearing correctly

Your Spot Elevations and Slope Callouts should now come in correctly.
